Auto Insurance Policy is just an arrangement between you and your insurance firm. You pay your insurance company the determined amount of money. The auto insurance protects you in case of an auto accident. This way, you, the insured will not sustain major financial losses in case the auto accident happens. I sure would be facing major financial losses if I did not have good auto insurance policy back in 1984, when my Car Horror Stories happened.

Do I Really Need an Auto Insurance Policy?

Unfortunately, auto accidents happen. When I start recollecting how many accidents I witnessed and what they were, there is no doubt in my mind, I do need auto insurance and so do YOU.

I remember some auto accidents very vividly even though they happened many years ago. One accident was really horrible. I saw the car after the accident. The top part of the car was missing altogether. It was shaved off. I saw a piece of a driving wheel sticking out. That meant that the driver was most likely killed instantly. He lost his head. Accidents happen to the best drivers. And yes, we all need auto insurance.

Auto Insurance helps to cover repairs to your car. It also covers medical costs. Do you want to face an economic disaster? I thought so. Then you need to have an auto insurance policy. It will surround you with a firewall against property damage or injuries to other people in case the car accident does happen.

Each auto insurance policy is just a bunch of various auto insurance primary coverages. These coverages vary depending on the state where you live. A Word Of Warning

Stupid Mistake

Today, more than 20 years after it happened, I can speak about that dreadful car horror story without breaking into cold sweat.

That day I wanted to drop off my clothes at a dry cleaning store. I had my hands full. I got into the car and started it. It was an old used Ford Crown Victoria.

Now I need to tell you about that car. It was so old! But that was not the worst part. It was an old yellow New York City taxi cab. It was my first car and it was a Ford Crown Victoria car. I just learned how to drive. I was still scared to death to drive. My friend’s father gave me the car. It was not good anymore to be driven as a taxi cab in New York City but it still moved. I liked the car for that reason: it moved. But other than that I was not crazy about it. It was huge. I could hardly reach the gas pedal and the break only if I put a huge pillow behind my back. Besides, it was yellow and a lot of people could not understand what I was doing driving a taxi cab.

Ford Crown Victoria Problems

Anyway, that miserable day I stepped out of the house with my hands full of clothes. I started my Ford Crown Victoria car and then decided to put the clothes into the car trunk. I stepped out of the car with the car running in the parking position. BIG MISTAKE!!! The car started moving. I started running trying to catch it. I wanted to jump into the car to stop it. Alas! I could not catch the car. Pretty soon I realized that if I did not stop running trying to catch my bad-behaving  Ford Crown Victoria car, I would be killed. I stopped running and stepped away. The car was moving faster and faster.  The transmission was still in parking position. I could see it. It started hitting other cars.

People started looking out of their windows cursing me. I did not hear everything people were yelling at me, but what I heard, was very sophisticated cursing.  My car was hitting their cars and they were mad. The car was also hitting dumpsters and making a lot of noise

One of a sudden I saw a car moving right in front of my car. What happened next was incredible.  That car hit my car and both stopped. As I found out later, the guy that stopped my car was taking a shower. He heard the incredible noise, jumped out of the shower, jumped in his own car and stopped my moving car with his own. He was a HERO! I wish I remembered his name. Hopefully, if he reads this story, he will drop me a line.

By the time the HERO stopped my car, somebody called police. Nobody was hurt.  Later I found out that Ford Crown Victoria car had a transmission problem and it was not the first accident of the same nature.  I had to say ‘good bye’ to my Ford Crown Victoria car and buy a new car. But that’s another story.

A Lesson Learned

Needless to say, my car insurance went up. I don’t remember how many car damage claims were made. I think it was something like 10 car damage claims. I was so happy I had car insurance.

I never ever in my life after the accident stepped out of the car while it was running. No matter what the circumstances are, I turn the ignition off and only then  I step out of the car.  I learned my lesson. I hope that YOU learned a lesson as well.

So there are these 4 people in heaven, 2 guys and 1 girl. One guy’s name is Danny, the other Drake Matt, the girl’s name is Marie.

They realize they need cars, so they each go to god and ask him for a car, god responds: “Ok, take these cloud cars, but on one condition, if you hit a duck you will have to marry the ugliest woman on Heaven that you can find.”

Car Stories…

Marie said: “But I’m a girl!” “Yea….well” “Uggh, it’s okay, I’ll take a bike.” So Matt was driving in his cloud car and a duck popped up out of nowhere BOOM! he hit it, so god said: “Okay, give me the car.” “But but! it popped up out of nowhere!!!” “So?” “Ahh, okay, fine” So he took the second ugliest woman in heaven.

Danny was backing up in his drive way and BAM! a duck popped up out of nowhere and he hit it. “BUT! IT CAME STRAIGHT OUT OF THE GROUND! I JUST GOT INSURANCE TOO!!” “Sorry, Danny.”

So then Drake was driving and then a duck popped up out of nowhere and he dodged it, then another came while he was applauding himself and he hit it straight in the face. With no argue but a mad foolish look on his face he gave the keys to god.

Then Matt, Danny and Drake were walking together sharing their dumb stories. They saw Marie with a rather handsome man in the car. So they went up to the car being parked, Drake whispered to Marie: “How’d you get a guy looking like that?” “Oh, he hit a duck..
